We proudly hold many patents and awards for advancements in battery system technology, including an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development” and a Sci-Tech Academy Award®.

40 years of being first

With more than 40 years of experience, Anton/Bauer has gained an unrivalled understanding of battery system technology and power management. The brand was first founded in 1970 when Anton Wilson, a former ABC cameraman, and George Bauer, an electrical engineer, formed a partnership setting out to furnish the broadcast industry with reliable battery power. Prior to Anton/Bauer's entrance to the market, dependable power solutions were almost non-existent. Using Anton's real-world experience, and George’s engineering background, they pioneered powerful solutions such as the industry's first smart chargers and digital batteries, yielding many patents for advanced technology including the industry’s first viewfinder fuel gauge.

In 1997, Anton/Bauer was acquired by the Vitec Group, joining the ranks of other industry-renown brands serving the broadcast/film/video industries.

As part of the Vitec Videocom group of companies with headquarters in Shelton, CT, USA, we have a worldwide footprint, with additional offices in Brazil, UK, France, Netherlands, Singapore and Japan.

Anton/Bauer knows the importance of recycling. We take great care to dispose of all materials properly.
